The University-wide Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will occur on Sunday, May 4, at 2:30 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena. Graduates and guests are encouraged to arrive as doors open, which will be at 12:30 p.m., to allow ample time for seating.
While the Pittsburgh Marathon will occur earlier in the day, it will not impact travel to and from PPG Paints Arena, parking availability, or the ceremony start time. Click the links below for information on how to navigate the city during the Pittsburgh Marathon.

- Shuttle Service
Shuttle service between Oakland and PPG Paints Arena, both before and after the ceremony, will be available for graduates and family members to utilize. Shuttle schedule and maps are now live!
Parking

All campus parking garages and lots will be free of charge on the day of Commencement.
If you are utilizing the complimentary shuttle, free parking is available at the Soldiers and Sailors Garage located at 4390 Bigelow Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
- PPG Paints Arena
For those choosing to park directly at PPG Paints Arena, parking is available at standard arena rates ($13), which will be posted at nearby garages and lots.
