Regalia (cap and gown) is required to participate in the University-wide commencement ceremony.

Graduation Central

  • Graduation Central is a two-day event designed to help graduates prepare for commencement.
  • Activities include live music, giveaways, and opportunities to purchase signature Pitt items such as diploma frames and class rings.
  • Pre-ordered regalia can be picked up at this event.
  • Dates and times for Graduation Central will be announced at a later date.

Regalia Ordering

  • Regalia can be ordered online for in-store pickup at Graduation Central.
  • Shipping is available for out-of-state graduates, with additional shipping rates applied.
  • Graduates who cannot attend Graduation Central will still have the option to order regalia after the event.
  • Regalia Pricing (2025):
    • Bachelor's Regalia Set (includes cap, gown, hood, and tassel): $61
    • Master's Regalia Set (includes cap, gown, hood, and tassel): $66
    • Doctoral Regalia Set (includes cap, gown, hood, and tassel): $80

Honors Cords

  • Honors cords are available for undergraduate degree recipients from all schools and colleges.
  • Those in the Frederick Honors College will receive their school-specific honors cords at their ceremony.
  • These cords are provided by the University Store on Fifth and can be picked up at your school or college. Honors cord distribution locations will be posted in the coming weeks.
  • For questions regarding honors status, candidates should contact their respective school or college directly.

Professional Portraits

  • M&M Photography will be onsite Tuesday, April 15 from 9 a.m. -  4 p.m. in the William Pitt Union Ballroom.
  • All graduates, from bachelor to doctoral, are welcome to have their professional AND graduate portrait taken.
  • Regsiter with M&M Photography by Apirl 8. A $10 deposit is required and will taken off of your package purchase.
  • Galleries will be delivered to the registrant within 48 hours of the portrait session.
