College of General Studies

The College of General Studies will host a brunch for undergraduate candidates on Sunday, April 28, from 9 - 11 a.m. in the McCarl Center and Posvar Hall Patio.  No regalia is needed. Graduating students will be sent an invitation from the college with further information on attendance, how to register and guest limits. 

David C. Frederick Honors College

The David C. Frederick Honors College will host a ceremony for undergraduate candidates on Thursday, April 25, 2024, starting at 3 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center. Regalia is required, and while tickets are not required, each graduate is limited to 4 guests. Further details will be provided in the coming weeks. Registration is mandatory. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences - Graduate Studies

The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences - Graduate Studies will host a ceremony for graduate candidates on Thursday, April 25, 2024, starting at 11 a.m. at the Fitzgerald Field House. Regalia is mandatory. While there's no ticketing, each graduate can bring up to 8 guests. Eligible classes include Summer 2023, Fall 2023, and Spring 2024. Visit ASGrad Commencement for details. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences - Undergraduate Studies

The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences - Undergraduate Studies does not offer a separate ceremony for candidates.  Many of our academic departments may offer a recognition ceremony. Please click here to view the list of participating departments.

Graduate School of Public and International Affairs

The Graduate School of Public and International Affairs will host a ceremony on Friday, April 26, 2024, starting at 3:30 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum. This event is exclusively for graduate candidates, and regalia is mandatory. There's no ticketing required. Pitt Business

Pitt Business will host a ceremony on Saturday, April 27, 2024, starting at 10 a.m. at the Petersen Events Center. Both undergraduate and graduate candidates are welcome, and regalia is mandatory. There's no ticketing, and no guest limit, with seating available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Public Health

Public Health will host a ceremony on Friday, April 26, 2024, starting at 6 p.m. at the Carnegie Music Hall. Both undergraduate and graduate candidates are encouraged to attend, with regalia being mandatory. Ticketing is not applicable, and additional information will be communicated directly from the school. Visit SPH Signature Events for updates. School of Computing and Information

The School of Computing and Information will host two ceremonies on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The exact time and location for both the Undergraduate and Graduate ceremonies are yet to be determined. Regalia is not necessary, and there is no ticketing. School of Dental Medicine

The School of Dental Medicine is organizing a ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 2024, starting at 1 p.m. at Heinz Hall. Both undergraduate and graduate candidates are welcome, with regalia being mandatory. There is no ticketing, and a livestream will be available. Visit Dental Graduation for details. School of Education

The School of Education will host a ceremony on Thursday, April 25, 2024, starting at 6 p.m. at the Fitzgerald Field House. Both undergraduate and graduate candidates are welcome, and regalia is mandatory. Students are permitted to bring a maximum of 8 guests and must RSVP to participate. Students who graduated or will graduate in August 2023, December 2023, April 2024, or June 2024 are invited. All degree and certificate students in the School of Education are welcome. School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences

The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences will host two ceremonies on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum. The exact times are yet to be determined. Both undergraduate and graduate candidates are welcome, and regalia is mandatory. Ticketing is in effect with the guest limit to be determined. The School of Law will host a ceremony on Friday, May 3, 2024, starting at 11 a.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum. Exclusive to graduate candidates, regalia is mandatory, and ticketing is not applicable. A small dessert reception will follow the ceremony at the Barco Law Building. School of Medicine

School of Medicine will host a ceremony on Sunday, May 19, 2024, beginning at 2 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall.  Graduate candidates only are invited to attend. Regalia is required. School of Nursing

The School of Nursing will host a ceremony on Friday, April 26, 2024, starting at 11 a.m. at the Carnegie Music Hall, 4400 Forbes Avenue. Both undergraduate and graduate candidates are welcome, and regalia is mandatory. Ticketing is in effect with 4 tickets allocated per graduate.
